WORMS OF THE EARTH/ BRAN MAK MORN by Robert Howard - Wandering Star Tpb. We had these late last year, but when our initial large supply was eagerly scooped up, we found to our dismay that we could not, in fact, readily restock. Weeks turned into months while our distributor assured us they would be in "soon". I guess soon means about four months - 'cause they're here now! And this time we have more than twice as many copies on hand. Contains the complete classic 1976 comics adaptation of "Worms of the Earth" done for the first time in full color. ... $9.95

Dunn. ... $7.00

COMING NEXT MONTH:

There are two books shipping next month that are quite eagerly awaited here. We will have plenty of copies, so there's no need to order until we list it, but it was just too exciting to wait to talk about.

HAVE TRENCHCOAT - WILL TRAVEL by E. E. "Doc" Smith - Advent HC. Well known for the intergalactic adventure stories that helped establish space opera as a genre, this collection of four previously unpublished stories are, as far as we know, his only stories that are not science fiction or fantasy. In the title story, ace private investigator knows practically from the start who the villain is; the problem is to figure out just what he did and track him down. Set in Chicago and New York in the 1960's, the tone of the writing is reminiscent of the "private eye" novels of the Twenties and Thirties. The three shorter stories are "Motorsickle Cop", an adventure story of the Newvadia highway patrol, reflecting Doc's life-long interest in biking; "Nester of the Caramints," a Western set near the end of the frontier days; and "Full-Time Nurse," a light romance which may have been inspired by Doc's own experience with heart-lung surgery. ... $20.00

BRAN MAC MORN by Robert E. Howard - Wandering Star HC. The complete tales of Howard's doomed Lost Race and its tragic warrior king. Illuminated with 12 color oils and over 45 pen and ink illustrations by Gary Gianni. Featuring fully restored, unexpurgated text and essays by scholars Rusty Burke and Patrice Louinet. It will be issued as a trade hardcover, probably for $60.00, and as a limited, slipcased hardcover probably for $100.00.

As the bodycount rises, so do Frank's nightmares and blackouts - and the fear that he's become the number one suspect... Copies may be Signed by the Author! ... $7.00
