February 2002 Catalog - Horror

* BEASTS OF BRAHM by Mark Hansom - Midnight House HC. An eerie mystery that blends the genres of the whodunit with supernatural horror. (OK, I fess up - this one hasn't arrived yet, but we're expecting it today or tomorrow -

long before you'll get this catalog. Hard to do a good write-up, though.) No - wait - it just came in, so moments before the catalog rolls out of here... Originally published in 1937, briefly reprinted in 1940, this book has been virtually unobtainable until now. The first of a series of books that Midnight House will be doing to bring the work of Mark Hansom back into print. I found the extensive introduction by John Pelan almost as engaging as the novel itself, quite the feat for a novel judged to be even better than Henson's lauded classic THE SHADOW ON THE HOUSE. 201 pages, limited to 450 numbered copies. ... $40.00

* THE RETURN OF THE SOUL AND OTHER STORIES by Robert Hichens - Midnight House HC. Joshi. 316 pages, limited to 450 numbered copies. ... $40.00

Limited to 600 numbered copies, Signed by the Author. No Discount. ... $40.00
