The famed star of the Evil Dead movie series as well as countless movie and TV appearances, signed his new book, IF CHINS COULD KILL: Confessions of a B Movie Actor. Thanks to all of the thousands of people who came in for this, it was a fabulous time!

Not surprisingly, the air conditioning couldn't keep up and it got really, really hot inside, but having close to 200 people in one room can do that. Thanks to the kindness of Mr. Campbell, who stayed until almost 10 PM signing books, we have a reasonable supply of signed hardcovers for those who missed the show.

I'm already half way through my copy and can recommend it. Campbell brings a very personal view to a funny and insightful look at the film industry.

A surprisingly gigantic turnout for a Monday afternoon signing. Especially when you consider how short a time Terry could be with us and the torrential rainstorm that greeted him and his fans.

The Neil Gaiman Signing Event:

In the initial planning stages, this was going to be a "drop-by" signing, where we lay in a supply of books, and Neil would stop in just long enough to sign them before running off to his next commitment. With drop-bys, you don't let other people know the author is coming in, since they aren't working to any particular schedule and you can't tell when to expect them. Meeting and greeting people also greatly increases the amount of time it takes - time they usually don't have to spare.

The "main" signing was set up for that evening at the Old Orchard Barnes and Noble, a place with more than sufficient space to host the massive audience that Neil always draws. When the word came down that they were going to let us expand our drop-by into a full-fledged, albeit short, signing I was both amazed and delighted. While we don't really have the floor space to do him justice, I really appreciated the opportunity to do what we could.

Thank you, thank you Neil and HarperCollins!
